APCDT's story
Who are we?
Our story began with the desire to create a warm and welcoming environment where children with disabilities could grow and develop harmoniously. As we grew, we turned our attention to organizing charitable events and conferences that bring generous hearts and open minds together.

Our purpose
Now, we are ready to take the next step in our journey: opening a day center for people with disabilities. We dream of this center becoming an accessible sanctuary, where the community can find medical services for motor rehabilitation and physiotherapy, as well as social activities aimed at supporting the integration of these wonderful children and offering a shoulder of support to families facing difficulties.
Timeline
2011
The Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Toplița was established in 2011 to support the development of the special class for children with disabilities in Toplița, under the patronage of the Bilbor School Center for Inclusive Education. Currently, it is part of the "Andrei Șaguna" Junior High School in Toplița.
2011-2021
The period 2011-2021 is notable for the continuous support provided to the special class for children with disabilities and for the direct and active involvement in the community of people with disabilities. We provided financial support to the families of children with terminal illnesses, supported the Băile Felix Clinical Hospital for Medical Recovery through donations, and organized charitable events and actions dedicated to the children of our community.
2022-prezent
The experience gained in recent years gave us the courage to expand our area of interest and we approached various exceptional personalities in the Romanian cultural and artistic scene to organize large-scale charitable events, conferences and artistic manifestations. Thus, we were joined by Fr. Prof. Constantin Necula, Mihai Morar and Marcel Pavel, special people to whom we are deeply grateful.
